Lydia has worked in real estate in Chicago since 2010, alongside her sister Emily Smart LeMire. Together as founding brokers of the award-winning Smart Lemire Group, they also partner with their father Baird Smart, offering an experienced family-centric team that is fully dedicated to each client’s complete success. Specializing in the north and west neighborhoods of Chicago, as well as the suburban North Shore, Lydia and her team, have enjoyed living and working in both the city and the suburbs, garnering extensive knowledge of the vibrant neighborhoods within. Born and raised on the North Shore of Chicago, Lydia graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a Communications degree. She obtained her real estate license right out of college, utilizing her exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to aid in her success. Lydia is organized, diligent and patient, and takes a deeply vested interest in her real estate clients from start to finish and beyond their transactions. A resident of Lincoln Park for many years, Lydia adores the city and all that it has to offer. She has an equal appreciation for the suburbs, having grown up in Winnetka, IL, and lived in nearby Northfield, IL since 2019. Married with a young daughter and son, Lydia keeps busy with work, kids, and community involvement. Family is her greatest passion, and being part of a family-based real estate team means everything to her.
